چکیده
In recent years, there has been an increase in public perception of the detrimental side-effects fluoride to human health due its effects on teeth and bones. Today, is a plethora techniques available for removal from drinking water. Among them, adsorption very prospective method because handy operation, cost efficiency, high selectivity. Along with efforts assist waters, extensive attention also paid accurate measurement Currently, analytical methods that are used determination can be classified into chromatographic (e.g., ionic chromatography), electrochemical voltammetry, potentiometry, polarography), spectroscopic molecular absorption spectrometry), microfluidic analysis flow injection sequential analysis), titration, sensors. this review article, we discuss ongoing effort achieving enhanced by applying novel adsorbents such as carbon-based materials (i.e., activated carbon, graphene oxide, carbon nanotubes) nanostructured materials, combining metals their oxides or hydroxides well natural materials. Emphasis given use lanthanum (La) modification both hybrid La/Mg/Si-AC, La/MA, LaFeO3 NPs), MgO nanostructures, which found exhibit capacity up 29,131 mg g−1. The existing methodologies current trends chemistry water discussed.

Review of fluoride removal from drinking water.
Fluoride in drinking water has a profound effect on teeth and bones. Up to a small level (1-1.5mg/L) this strengthens the enamel. Concentrations in the range of 1.5-4 mg/L result in dental fluorosis whereas with prolonged exposure at still higher fluoride concentrations (4-10mg/L) dental fluorosis progresses to skeletal fluorosis. High fluoride concentrations in groundwater, up to more than 30 ...
متن کاملFluoride removal from water using crushed limestone
An examination of defluoridation by industrial grade limestone indicated that a combination of precipitation and adsorption of fluoride can be more effective for defluoridation of water. Pre-acidified fluoride water using two edible acids, viz., acetic acid (AA) and citric acid (CA) have been used for treatment by crushed limestone of diameter 3-4 mm to precipitate fluoride as CaF2 in addition ...
متن کاملFluoride removal studies in water using natural materials
Excess fluoride in water causes health hazards to the natural environment. The removal of fluoride was attempted using natural materials such as red soil, charcoal, brick, fly-ash and serpentine. Each material was set up in a column for a known volume and the defluoridation capacities of these materials were studied with respect to time. According to the maximum defluoridation capacity these ma...

Background: Fluoride plays an important role in bone and dentin mineralization; however, excess fluoride intake is harmful to mankind. Methods: This study evaluated the performance of bauxite from active Iranian mines in removing fluoride from drinking water. The effects of pH, contact time, adsorbent dose, and fluoride concentration on defluoridation and removal efficiency were determined. Ki...
